About McForty
In 1995 McForty was undeveloped 40 acres. It has been improved through the years for wildlife, hunting and camping. Many trees have been planted and fields of grasses and grain are planted anually for the wildlife. The wildlife consists mainly of deer, turkey and rabbits. We see the occasional black bear, bob cat, and coyote's can bee heard at night.McForty is located near the Manistee river. The river offers canoeing, fishing nd hiking along it's banks. Traverse City and Cadillac are a short drive and offer shopping and dining.
