Work is beginning for another year of planting, More trees have already been planted and we are in the planning stages for food plots. It's our long range plan to switch to Perennials. This will give us more time to pursue other interests. Interests like fishing and hiking and all the venues that the area offers during the summer. Not that farming isn't fun but it isn't the main focus nor is mowing lawns.

Our agricultural leader has come up with the following plan for this year:

Let the fields continue to grow for this summer. The grains will mature and probably start dropping some volunteer new seeds. Hopefully longer growing will give us more roots to increase organic matter.

Mid August Disk everything under and plant back utilizing liquid fertilizers again.
Small Field Oats and Chicory/White Clover blend (Seclusion 360)
Large Field Oats and Chicory/ Clover Blend(Clover+Chicory)

Mid September overseed with Rye to fill thin spots and more liquid fertilizers.
